First Review of Violent Impacts!
Violent Impacts Reviewed in Global Sport Business Journal
Dr. Samuel Clevenger (Towson University) wrote a kind and insightful review of our book in Global Sports Business Journal. It sure is humbling to have a scholar of Sam’s calibre engage with our work so deeply and so clearly grasp the purpose of our analysis.
Sam writes, “…the brilliance of Henne’s and Ventresca’s book…is that it both concerns and extends far beyond sporting contexts, focusing also on military organizations and scientific research and policies, and their intricate ties to the creation of influential narratives on the concussion crisis.” He concludes the review by offering some seriously high praise, “…Henne and Ventresca’s painstaking look at the intersectional complexities of the concussion crisis is an exemplar account that will be cited for years to come by sport and violence researchers.”
